I have IBS-C and currently having a lot of flare-ups due to pregnancy.
I've been really constipated the last 3 days and have had really bad trapped wind too. Today, after taking and eating everything I could think of to get things moving, I finally managed to go. But since that, really embarassingly, I keep passing really loud, smelly wind. I can't hold it in at all - if I try, it just comes out even more obviously about 30 secs later. And I still feel like I've got absolutely loads of trapped wind inside. Any advice on how I can get this to pass??
Sometimes too much fruit makes you constipated - hard to know how to stop the wind I'm not pregnant but could start a band with the wind that comes out of me. Stay away from cabbage
Also avoid brussels sprouts and broccoli. Lots of fruit really helps my constipation; when I ease off fruit, I start getting bunged up again. Pregnancy can cause more flare ups because of the hormonal change. I get most gassy after my evening meal. However, I just have to laugh about it because it is better to come out than stay in. Trapped wind from either end can be painful.
