It’s 99.9% anxiety. I suffer from the same thing however my case is worse. I wake up in the middle of the night because I feel my heart beating out of my chest. A few days ago I made the mistake to monitor my heart rate it was 150 when I saw that I started to panic and spikes even further to 179-180. I was all alone in the middle of a full blown panic attack. I popped half a beta blocker, drank water, cried, prayed I was totally erratic. 20 minutes later my heart rate started to gradually decrease till it got back to 65-70. This has been happening for months every night. No doctor can tell what this is. I’ve even quit working out because my heart rate goes bananas. I really wish I knew what this is. Like you doctor claims its all anxiety. And that there’s noway my heart will stop beating. I’m 23 and fit. My panicky brain however still freaks out every time this happens.
