Can ultrasound of a full abdomen scan and pelvis scan see if one has a prolapse?
Your doctor may order an ultrasound exam in which sound waves are used to create images of the pelvis. Ultrasound also helps your doctor to determine the degree of the prolapse. If it can be seen on ultrasound, it will also show up on X Ray.
What makes you think you have a prolapse? Have you spoken to your doctor about your flatulence? If so, what did he conclude from this? If your doctor was unconcerned, you should not be worrying either. Everyone has varying amounts of flatulence; those with IBS, tend to experience it more. Do not try to diagnose yourself using Dr Google. You will get inaccurate information and it will lead to health anxiety.
because the previous doctor might not understand that its not that i am just thr whole day gassy, but that the gas presses on my anus all the time even after i keep passing gas. the first one didnt take that seriously so i am waiting now a few months to see another .
also from time to time gas bubbles leak out without any control and pressure
I think your doctor will understand the amount of gas you are passing if you explain the full extent of your problem without leaving anything out. I don’t think your last doctor didn’t take you seriously. I think it is more that your doctor doesn’t think the problem is the result of anything sinister going on. and has a more benign cause. Try avoiding gassy foods such as broccoli, baked beans, cabbage and Brussels Sprouts. Avoid gassy drinks and chewing gum.
Your doctor will only order tests if he or she thinks something more in depth is going on. How many doctors have you seen about this? Was IBS ever suggested? Be prepared for the possibility that your new doctor may also tell you that your problem is not serious and may not be concerned. If this happens, this is good news and a sign that you should accept what you are being told and leave it at that. Both me and my brother are very gassy indeed and it is nothing sinister. Both of us have IBS, but we had loads of gas even before our IBS diagnosis.
