Can you buy cold packs for ankles?

Hi Ali,

you really take the prize for your story of how you did your injury!  Being chased by Mickey Mouse!  I hope Magic Kingdom looked after you!

I might have to get me some of those I packs. Fell over today. Went to bend slightly to light fire, and my bakers cyst leg collapsed. Bent . pain 8/10. I screamed. Fell only way I could manage, safely on my bum. Felt nauseous. Took my time to get up.

Bug#*r. Scary. How the heck am I supposed to do everything around the house when I can't bend. My broken leg was compromised also. On verge of giving out.

Can't wait to see Specialist tomorrow.

I'm worn thin. 38th week.... And still counting...

Oh no! How frustrating! So sorry to hear that. Let us know how it goes tomorrow with the specialist. What a bummer!

You poor thing! So sorry to hear this news.

Can't imagine how you have managed for such a long time. 💮 🌺 🌸 🌼 🌻

Thanks Patti and Ali. Weird thing is I can now straighten vmy Bakers Cyst leg/knee, although back of calf sore to touch. I kept waiting for more intense pain and swelling. It never came. However I have mildly sprained my broken ankle.

Sometimes I think, have I managed? Going to take Sindy( barbie in USA) to show specialist how I fell. I'm certainty not going to do a demo lol. My husbands appointment just before mine. He'll need an MRI. Suspect I will too.

Oh happy days!

Your life continues to be quite an adventure! Hope all goes well tomorrow!

Hmm. Mixed bag. Appears bad fall has burst bakers cyst, according to Specialist. After initial agony, just sore on back of leg below knee to ankle.

🌈🌟

Had an Xray. Break healed fine. Down side, bone very soft below around break. Dr Was sorry I had xray. Has barely changed since surgery if at all. He was happy about my mobility, and noted the fall I had, did indeed sprain bad ankle slightly.

😭

Am I going to drive? Why. Slow reaction time, soft bone, ankle nowhere near pre injury. Hell I wouldn't get in car with someone driving with my injuries. Didn't ask Dr, but will leave a message tomorrow. No brainier for me.👎. 👣Is my priority. It's the only way to strengthen bone according to Dr, plus stationary 🚵.

Husband declared partially fit for work whatever that means. He has poor flexibility and a stretched ligament that can't be fixed.

What a day...☔😿

I read that it can be normal with the rupture like you had,  for the fluid to fill a bit in the calf, so that might be what happened with your lower leg. I am so sorry you are going through all this! Keep up with the walking and stationary bike. It will help a lot! Sorry about the sprain...hang in there, accidents happen. We can all attest to that!
