Can you loose your voice following sore throat if you suffer from FMS..

I have recently been diagnosed with FMS,as well as trying to deal with all the pain and everything else that comes with it,I had a sore throat for a few weeks almost as if I had swallowed a razor blade, now my voice has gone!!..I am concerned as to whether my voice will come back...Any help would be much appreciated..minor worry I suppose but an added concern..has anyone else had this at all?...

Hi Judith, I have had the sore throat a few times,it just goes away itself eventually,i bought all the usual throat sweeties and stuff like that.

HI J, I used to have loads of sore throats and some more severe than others. One time I could barely talk or even swallow at all, it was so painful. However, they clear up eventually; just keep as hydrated as you can. Sitting in a warm bath or having a shower can help as the moist atmosphere can ease the dryness in your throat and airways. Perhaps some extra (soluble) Vitamin C too? JK

Hi, jimtorry and JerseyKaz...Thankyou for the reply..I was starting to get really worried about it..Its enough to try n deal with not being able to do everyday things that I used to..not feeling sorry for myself but feel I(as many others have) lost enough quality..without loosing my voice for good too!...God I would have to get myself a rather large bell to ring to let people know I was here..lol..thanks again peeps...its nice to know that there is someone out there that can relate to this illness..xx

Hi Judith,

I have had a test for every possible illness due to F/Ms and on the journey I have came to realise all sorts is gonna happen to my body where I have had to realise that the symptoms I get at that moment will eventually ease off, it could be days hours weeks, and when that symptom has eased off another will arise just as quick, if you have any doubts contact your doctor everytime, I thought mine was sick of seeing me but she actually says that it is better to see the doc so that they can assess me better, I have even had to call the docs out a few times.
