I don’t have symptoms, but I read it can be asymptomatic. I also found terrible news about a guy I slept with who gave a girl genital herpes. So I am 100% paranoid about everything now with my vagina. I’ve been crying all day. I have an appointment on Monday with the gyno, but I just need some peace of mind.
are you talking about the inside or the outer part of your vagina?
I was thinking the inside. Why? Does the outside look questionable.
no not at all! so i have insane ocd where i fixate on things i think i have and i have looked up and researched absolutely every std .. vaginas are all different and textured differently and feel differently. from what i can see it looks like you just have fordyce spots or vp! this partner you had how long ago did you have intercourse with them?
So I’ve been seeing this guy (sort of like a friends with benefits) and we had sex last week with protection. But the guy I had sex with that I found out has genital herpes the last time I had intercourse with him was 2 months ago. It was only one time and protected.
i honestly think you are just being paranoid. i hooked up with this guy a couple months ago and he recently just told me he found out a past partner contracted herpes and he got blood tested and everything came back negative.. i heard that and still freaked out because i never use a condom but i always ask my partner if they are tested regularly. you still never know. but i HIGHLY doubt you have anything because you were protected and he may have contracted it with somebody after you.
Thank you so much. I got tested yesterday and now I’m just waiting for the results now, but I broke down at work because I never really had a scare like this before. My anxiety is killing me.
of course! how long have you had this that you can remember? usually herpes in the vaginal area start with almost like a white head and turn red pretty quickly and look like holes or open sores and your urine would burn them if it touches it
I actually noticed it just recently. My friend told me I would have had a herpes outbreak earlier on, but I didn’t. I have no symptoms whatsoever. I am dealing with a UTI currently but that’s unrelated. It’s just partner is like freaking out and making me thing the absolute worst thing.
yeah you can experience an outbreak within a couple days or a couple months but from the way it looks and the information you told me i really think you are okay! did you do a blood test?
Yeah I did blood work and urine. Kept checking my email for the results even though it’s the weekend.

My lab results are taking forever to show up. Still pending and I am driving myself crazy. Went to my gyno yesterday and she told me the HSV test is bad. 2/3 end up positive and half of the 2/3 (so 1/3) is a false positive…I am just hoping it’ll be negative and I don’t have to worry. She also said an outbreak can happen within 6 months..

I think u will be fine. It doesnt look like HSV to me But i know how the mind can cause paranoia and how awful that can be. But from what I can see, it doesnt look like HSV. I wish you the best and hope you get your results soon so you can relax.
