I turned up at Epsom Saturday morn for my RHR but got sent home as anaesthesist short. So depressed and fed up. Any ideas how long I'm gonna have to wait now ......
I live in Epsom, but had my operation at Parkside Hospital. Hopefully the hospital will get you booked in asap. I can't imagine they will leave it too long. Best wishes, Kathy x
Wow, how upsetting is that! My surgery is on Tuesday, but there has been a screw up with my doctor's release letter. I have an appointment for Monday morning to get this resolved, but I'm so worried that my operation will be delayed. All the stressful build up to the day of surgery is almost more than I could endure a second time. I hope your matter is handled very quickly.
It was horrible having to leave after building myself up that all would soon be over and the road to recovery had finally arrived. Hope to hear sooner than later and so it's back to work next week until I know!
Mine was cancelled at 4.30pm last Tuesday when my admission should have been on Thursday at 7 am. It's so upsetting when you have built yourself up to going in. How awful you were turned away at the hospital! I have no idea when mine will be rescheduled, they are saying 4-6 weeks at least. Hope you get yours rebooked soon

Oh no you're still waiting to hear When they cancel it just seems to havea ripple effect of them trying to fit people back in. I hope yours is soon too and speedy recovery after

If it's the nhs check on the website cancelled operations they should give you a new date within 28 days

I know just how you feel you get all ready mentally and it's the worst feeling ever when it's cancelled I had my op cancelled on 20 May had it don 28th June hopefully you won't have to wait too long
Was yours cancelled on the day or prior? At least from the responses I,m seeung it seems i can forget hoping for a re-book for next week. So many plans to have to be re-organised now and the pain continues smh
5 days before and when I had it done I had it done by a different surgeon
Oh I feel so sorry for you. I would have hated having my op cancelled. You're all geared up for it. Hope you get it rescheduled quickly. Maybe get your GP involved? Good luck.
Ended up my surgeon wouldn't be able to fit me in until 12 September so I've opted for an alternative surgeon who can do it 29 august which I have to do for childcare reasons.
That is good news ...I also opted for an alternative surgeon in case the wait would be too long but got the one who diagnosed me ...It would not have mattered to me as I really had no bond with the surgeon and had faith -
