IN FEBRUARY 2017 Was peeing more than normal. Went to my physician. They did a urinalysis. No sign of a UTI. They did find a trace of blood and rbcs with 3-10hpf. They sent me to a urologist because of my age and smoking history.
The urologist did another urinalysis and rectal exam. Plus a PSA blood draw. CT SCAN OF my abdomen and pelvic areas. They said they found no reason for the blood. In that following year I was still worried. I wound up having two head CT scans , numerous blood draws and chest xrays and still nothing. So my physician put me on effexor ER for anxiety. Which I think made the problem worse. I just had my yearly check up with the urologist. Another PSA, rectal check and UA. Everything came back fine. Do you think they've done enough testing and all this is in my head?
You should be over the moon that the Drs have found nothing. Instead of looking for something sinister, believe what the Drs have said and get on with your life. You are spending too much time dwelling.
So you think it's more in my head? That my anxiety has taken over?
There are plenty of things that could have caused the trace of blood found in your original sample, even sometimes a gut reaction to food, where it's irritated your stomach lining. If it's not reoccurring and they've not found it since in further tests, then I'd say it's probably nothing to worry over.
I am not saying it is all in your head, I am saying that you are giving it too much of your time when you could be doing other things. We are
all on this site because we suffer with anxiety but you are giving your anxiety more ammunition when it really is'nt necessary. Your Drs have told you that you are fine so believe them and get on with your life.
