hi I've had lower abdomen pain for some time had all the scans etc can't find anything wrong , then had my gallbladder out this year and I have the same pain in my stomach area now , feels like a knot , I can't sleep for the pain but when I get up it eases a lot , but then when I've been sitting or come home from work I'm in agony again, I'm scared to go to bed as I know I'm not going to sleep well and feel the pain again. I don't want to go to the doctor again as I'm sure they think I'm imagining it but crying out in pain isn't my imagination.
When I turn over in bed it makes me yell out in pain.
Its been 13 weeks since my gallbladder op.
My lower abdomen pain came on after having my vaginal hysterectomy and a bladder repair 6 yrs ago.
Any chance it's a hernia?
I think you need a second opinion. I still get the same pain since i had my gall bladder removed. The surgeon told me its quite common to still have the pain so i responded with well what is the point of having it out then. He put me on tablets called pregablin they are not a pain killer but a pain blocker they work on the recepators in the brain. I also take co-cordamol for pain or tramadol if the pain is severe. The problem i have is im still suffering and i am under the care of a surgeon, radiologists, a professor, gynaecologist and a gastrorentologist and they all contridict 1 another so i find it hard work who told follow.

Sounds to me that the pain is linked to your hysterectomy as the pain started after that operation. I would go back to the surgeon who did that operation as it may be scar tissue from the operation. If nothing is showing up on scans it's bound to be scar tissue as it doesn't show up on scans. X
I had my gallbladder out at end of April, so about the same time as you.
I am still having one or two problems but nothing as bad as you describe here.
I think you should go back to doctor. By the sound of it this is not your imagination.
Can you go back to hospital where you had your gallbladder out?
