Can't stop falling

I had my surgery two years ago. I fall over a lot. Three times today: outside where everyone could see me, but no one helped, and later inside.

Not sure what to do. I am obviously concerned about more fractures and surgery. However, I am only 56, very independent and a little scared...

I fell off bicycles for years as well as ladders while helping others build homes, working on church, etc.  After cervical fusion I found myself falling just walking and stumbling as well as did an endo on a mountain bicycle.  Some of us are clumsy and others have medical balance issues.  Ask your MD about it

My right leg (the one which had surgery) is just not working now. Hurts like heck even to put it up on the coffee table. I do still have my crutches from post-surg, as I forgot to return them. Might need them again now. I am living with a daughter, but am mostly alone when she is at work...

I do stuff all the time that I shouldn't. Can't do ladders, but will drag the kitchen table around the house to put up curtains after washing them. I walk a lot. Have grandkids, aged 1, 2 and 3. I pretend I am fit enough to play with them (sheesh). I walk to uni, but bus it back to the train later. I do not want to reach the stage where I am useless for walking/doing stuff. The daughter I live with is absolutely lovely, but completely clueless when it comes to "handyman" work. That's my department.

You should be ok this far out of surgery.  The chronic pain issue should be a doctor worthy concern though.  Everyone is different.  My brother dislocated his hip a year out of surgery but had doubled it while lifting a lot of weight.

One day on, I am still experiencing significant pain. I actually opened the door to the postie only wearing undies (respectable ones) because I couldn't get dressed. Had to go to the shop later. Putting jeans on sent a huge pain through my leg. Every time I woke last night, I got the same pain moving that leg. It's in the lower part of the one I had my op on. The other side is painful and bruised, but I think it's okay.

I am covered in bruises. If this still hurts tomorrow, am going to the hospital...

I am 5 months out and work outside rough ground. I haven't fallen yet. but, what the F, you fell in public and no one helped you up! What country do you live in? That stinks. Everyone should help each other.

Go now!  Why wait?

Sydney, Australia...

Too tired to go in today. I did hobble to the shop and back today. Would rather try to have a decent sleep before dealing with it all. Hospital ERs are very tiring places, and very tiresome...
