Carpel s Tunnel

Had my op for this disorder 10th April at the moment have my arm back in sling as with-out it i forget to not over-do it anyone else out there with this problem

Hello Ruggy

I've had carpal tunnel surgery done on both wrists and it made a big difference.

That was more than twenty years ago. When it first occured my hands would go

numb while driving to work and I would slap them on the steering wheel to get rid

of the tingling feeling. I trust your  recovery will be coplete.

Wishing you good health, Alpine

Hello alpine thanks for replying i had my left hand done on the 10th April  i still have numbness in my thumb & 3 fingers the small one is ok i went back yesterday to see the surgen that operated and said it will take some time to get back to normal and the cut in the wrist is still sore i told him he said everything is going well so it set my mind at rest also because i was worried incase i should not be doing to much but he said to move the hand so i made some small balls with paper serviettes and squeezing my fingers round them doing this on both hands as i found my right hand was getting benefit too! as that needs to be operated on...thanks again ...

Like all things healing will take time. I have had numbness in my right hand and fingers on and off, for a while never needed the surgery though. Have had spinal surgery and even after over 30 yrs it is still tender to touch.

Hope your recovery is speedy. A couple of friends have had surgery for Carpal Tunnel and it was successful and they where glad to have it done.

Thanks for the info petered yes i still have tingling in my op hand but the doc said seems ok will take awhile,my right hand needs to be op on but not feeling like having it so soon after the left, half hoping to resolve by excercise?..thanks again..
