Carpel tunnel compensation

Hi guys I've had cts operation in both hands now since Xmas, had nerve ending test done privately also been to see a specialist from the court and he confirmed I had cts in both hands now they are ok since the op,I'm putting a claim in against work, how much should I get for 2 operations for cts

Cheers Marc

I'd just be glad that they are better. From what I can gather it's highly likely that you will find in a year or two you are back where you started. I have

no idea what your job is but if you just return to doing what you have been doing then seems to be risk this will happen. Why some people get CTS and others don't again seems to be a very grey area. Good Luck

Yes the reason I got cts is through the job I have been doing for the last 4 years and the work risk assessment said this job can cause cts,so work have admitted and are at fault, they have since stopped doing the job cause it can cause cts,so I'm going through a claim at the moment just wondering if any one else has ever claimed and how much they receive

Be interesting to know. Hope your new job is kinder to your hands and they remain CTS free.

Thankyou so do I

Hopefully someone will no how much compensation I should recieve,if I here anything I will post it straight away

Not quite sure what you mean - how much you should get but workers comp varies from state to state. If your claim is approved your employer is responsible for all your medical, mileage, and lost time from work. At the end of one year your doctor will give you a permanent disability rating. Typically they average 1-3% of the total amount of loss of both hands completely. There really isn't much money to be had especially if you have to hire an attorney to handle your case. Scars on the hands are not compensable so you'll get zero there. These are pretty much the standards in CT. Maybe your state is a bit more generous? Good luck!

Yes it's going through solicitors now,I no a lad who had 12k for both hands through his employment

Just have to wait and see

Cheers guys

Hi I was wondering what was the work that caused cps

The job was to do with a strong product we use and recycle pots

,there is a lot of strain in doing this, they have now bought a machine as they admitted it could cause cts

Cheers
