I had lense replacement and goniosynechiolysis sugery for narrow angles and high eye pressure. My right eye was set to 2 for near 3 days ago, im still swollen and wondering if my vision will yet improve. The second eye is scheduled to be done for distance on june 14. Im disappointed with my vision and worried about losing more focal points when i do the second eye. Right now im seeing clear at 12 inches after that ot gets more and more blurry. 10 feet away is completely blurry. I had used mono vision contact for near in my right wye for many years. Left eye fine. This surgery is for prevention of glaucoma but i feel it caused me to loose clarity now. Feeling disappointed discouraged and fearful of second surgery. What are my options for iol? I tried multifocal contacts but I couldn’t adjust. 

Will my vision improve after day 3? Will distance choice in second eye leave me with even less vision focal points? Anyone???

You will be fine   within  few more days since you still using  2 or 3 different eye drop right ?

Yes, eye drops 3 times a day for a month. When I first wake un the morning i can see a little better but it quickly blurs again. Still have clear vision at 12 inches but after that its all blurry. So is this what will happen after getting second eye set for distance? All else will be a blurr? How is it tgat so many people make comments about how happy they are with their vision after cataract surgery. Because i feel i lost my clarity at other vision points of distance now.

My implant card says Model: PCB00 Diopter +32.0D.  My previous mono vision contact lens for that eye was +3.75 but when I was discussing this in the office before my surgery the doctor said he was implanting a 2 diopter because 3 would be too much.  What is 32?  Is that a calculation or did the doctor just implant the wrong RX?

sheena, I read the other discussion "Monofocal IOL for NEAR: How far can you see?", in which you mention that your eye is still swollen from your goniosynechiolysis sugery. That could be a factor affecting your vision now. Hope the swelling will subside soon.
