I had cataract surgery 3 weeks ago. immediately after, I noticed a distinct black floater that had not been there previously. a few days later I twice saw the object clearly - a transparent disc with black numbers on it. does anyone know what this might be? I went to eye casualty and they did some kind of procedure with a machine with bright lights. could this be some kind of laser treatment? Any advice please? I am so worried.

Unsure of what you saw. Have your surgeon take a look. Did that procedure fix the issue? Did they not tell you why or offer any explanation? i would have had a number of questions.
i think a foreign body item entered my eye either on the scalpel or on the new lens. whilst the cataract surgery didn’t hurt unduly afterwards, my eye just hasn’t felt right since whatever the casualty doctor did - sore inside, kind of heavy, doesn’t open wide.
Hope you get a chance to find put what it was and how that happened.
