My eye doc wants me to have cataract surgery. As it was explained to med there is only a injection into the eye to numb the eye. It sounds painful to have a injection in the eye.
Has anyone had cataract surgery with injection only in eye to change the lense to eliminate cataracts while awake?
Yes. I found the injection uncomfortable rather than painful, but felt nothing during the surgery. After the operation my eye muscles had largely recovered after a night's sleep.
I didn't have an injection in the eyes. I had and IV with anesthsia I assume, and eye drops to numb the eyes. I was only mildly aware of the surgery and the entire process was completely painless.
My wife was given a sedative before the injection (which majority of the people seem to get).
I chose not to get any sedative (I was offered one when I was being prepared for the cataract surgery, but I declined). At the same time, I don't even remember anything specific about the injection, even though it was only 4 months back. So, it could not have been very painful.
That's is how my first cater act surgery was. Wake up it all done. I'm not sure I want to hear what's going on. I have been putting it off.
ok I have been convinced by the eye doc that was the case. However had to much surgery this year and pain so I am a bit Leary.thing don't always go right the way we expect them. My goodness so glad to hear your went so wee.

That's just what my perception was from the beginning. I would require a IV for a setative first. Not every surgery goes as planned. Something can go googleey!

I had Symfony Toric lenses - the last implant was over four weeks ago. Vision is currently excellent - I can read a newspaper unaided in a good light. My astigmatism is reduced considerably in my left eye and too low to measure in my right.
That's what they used I paid extra but it was misaligned. So resting that eye maybe a chance to redo the eye with the correct alignment.

Time. Staff offered valium. To which I told them I would take it if they held the
Puke pan. No offers. See better then I have in sixty years. Just annoys my
husband now when I have to go find a pair of readers in the house to read the print. Doc says distance
Is 20/30 and close up vision I can use the cheap readers for. You can find
A reading chart online to figure out which one you need. Seemed like I needed
To wait a few weeks to do that. All in all really pleased. My eyes do seem a little drier but I can not say for sure as pollen
Is always around. Just use some over the counter drugs for that. Very small
