Does anyone have any information that links prolonged use of catheters to bladder cancer? I seem to recall hearing this once but cannot track it down. Thanks.

I spoke with my urologist over the weekend about this and he did confirm that there is an increased risk (though still small) for bladder cancer among those who use catheters on a regular basis. He recommends a cystoscopy every 2 years to examine the bladder wall for irritations. I will get a flexible one in the Fall.
