CBT

Thinking i should try CBT again ! at least once a week i get panic attack feelings !! heavy body , fast heart and feeling scared , shaking !! last time i had CBT after every session i would feel very anxious ! Dont know what else to try !!

Hi Lisa, I’m going to message you a book that’s helped me with panic attacks. I still have anxiety but it’s helped a lot with helping it not eacalate to a panic attack. I would send it here but it’ll get flagged.

I know exactly what you are going through. I have been having this same experience. I have anxiety all the time and sometimes it is full panic. Its consumed me for months. I have to force myself to drive and I have to take my husband with me every time. I havent wanted to take meds. I do have therapist. I believe what she is doing is CBT but it just feels like common sense stuff i have already thought of. I panic a lot in the sessions too :frowning: And its very expensive… I am already on session 3 and I feel like nothing is different. :frowning: Have you tried supplements? I have just been doing exposures, like the driving and exercise and supplements. just know you are not alone in this and you can do it!

Hi,I used to read anxiety books by Lucinda Basset,She also had a set of tapes you could listen to,I don’t know if the session tapes are available or not. Also maybe if you are in the States and its legal in your state try some CBD oil,you can Google it. I have bad anxiety and am tapering off alprasolam as doctors here no longer want to prescribe it and I am trying to stay off depression meds,because I have heard a lot of negatives about them I’ve been doing a lot of reading and one cause that sounded legit of anxiety issues is low Vitamin D,which you can ask to have tested. I am also going to ask they test mine. All they seem to want to do is keep throwing anti depressants at me. one more thing,before I took the anxiety med,which made me function very well. When I would have have an attack,I would gradually try and go back to the place I had it,my first one was in a grocery store,I made myself keep doing it,like exposure therapy,wasn’t too long and I could shop again. I know it’s hard,I’m scared to go off my meds,Docs in the states are prescribing Xanax etc less and less

I’ve heard very low levels of vitamin D can cause panic attacks might want to ask your doc to check it.

i meant to say it didnt work for me, sorry for the mistake but it is a tool, i learn something from it alittle, i dont get panic attacks maybe a few times but i deal with anxiety and depression every day
