Cefalexin 500mg three times a day for flare up

Hi 

has as anyone else had any success with using Cefalexin for a diverticulitis flare up? 

I have never ever been prescribed this before, usually they gove me metronitrazole (urgg!) and amoxiclav . 

This disease is ruining my life!!

Last time I was given ciprofluoxin and metronidazole together for 7 days.

Only had one flare up and can't remember what they gave me I know it was strong and knocked me for six for a couple of days I know how you feel about It ruining your life the life I had before DD as gone I can't function some days at all. Don't know what to eat or what to take. Sorry for rant

Never apologise for ranting! It's an evil disease, I know how you feel. I never know how to manage this problem and nor do the doctors and neither do they seem to care either!

I agree my consultant gave me a web address for wind and said come back in 4 years for another colonoscopy. I don't like talking to my GP they don't seam to know or care
