Hello. Newbie here. I have been on cit 10mg for 9 days niw. First few days weren't so bad but the past few have been horrible. I'm always tired, get light headed, kinda foggy feeling and seems like increased anxiety but not the heart racing type more just the body sensations. I take it at night and I sleep like a rock. I'm just not sure when to be concerned as I have tried many other ssri drugs and had bad side effects. If it wasn't for the light headed feeling and foggy Ness I'd be feeling great. I was diagnosed with Gad and mild depression. Been dealing with anxiety for just over 2 yrs after 10 yrs of zero issues. I'm 34 year old male and looking for any help or comforting advice. I'm trying my hardest not to let this affect my job and took the next 3 days off work hoping that something will lighten as I hit the 2 week mark.
Hi Jessie,
you will certainly get there, Cit DOES work, you just need to persevere, maybe you will need to increase your dose in time but you will get there, and be just normal again, it took me 6 weeks to see the light, and I improved daily thereafter, and am back to normal and very happy about that, as had never suffered anxiety etc before August last year.
There will be side effects but dont give up, just persevere thru them, it will be worth it, I promise. 9 days is early days but there is light at the end of that tunnel so take care and stay strong,
Anne
Thank you so much for replying. Just super scary. I know far to much about ssri medications and dint know whats a normal side effect or something i need to be concerned about. Did you experience similar side effects?
Yes, so many, even the lump in my throat I though I had cancer, couldnt ear or swallow, once cit kicked in there was no lump, how weird that was, also couldnt sleep, thats the opposite now lol, thumping chest, scared of everything, even couldnt watch tv, they are all completly gone now, never get any thankfully. and I agree it is super scary what your mind can make you think, but do remember its yout the anxiety, none of it is anything to worry about I promise, it will eventually go, it just takes your body time to adjust,
Gotto go to work enjoy ur few days off but try to keep busy and persevere in the knowledge everyday is a day closer to been ok again.
Take care
Anne
