Cellulitis fluid at back of leg behind knee

Hi.  I had cellulitis in my leg 3 times last year which has now cleared up, but I've been left with cellulitis fluid behind my knee ( I was scanned at the hospital and that was there diagnosis).  I've been told it's nothing to worry about but I can't help but worrying as I feel like it's a ticking time bomb waiting for me to get cellulitis again.

I've had it now for about 4 months and it's showing no sign of going and the Doctor says there's nothing I can do about it and I've tried googling it but nothing about cellulitis fluid comes up only cellulitis when you actually have the infection still.

I just wondered if anybody else has experienced anything like this and if they have any advice please.

Sorry cant help Sue,i have had cellulitis since the end of May last year and its never fully cleared up.I banged my leg last week and now its all cut where the cellulitis is,i am so fed up with it.

Check on youtube for "draining lymphs". Maybe it will help?

Hi Sue,

From what I've read up on about cellulitis a common issue afterwards is the fluid buildup you have, which is called lymphedema - try googling that, or 'lymphedema cellulitis' and see if that helps you.
