I've had cellulitis for around 16 weeks, I've had numerous antibiotics and now having blood tests, I'm anaemic and low in folic acid, also calcium is low, I suffer Lupus too, I'm beginning to believe this is serious, I keep going dizzy too
Hi Alison
If you are not young (like me), you have to think in terms of months, not weeks.
I had a bad case of cellulitis last May. When the skin starts flaking it is only the start of recovery.
I think it damages blood vessels and lymph glands. After five months my leg is returning to normal size but still hurts if I stand for long. A physiotherapist gave me some good tips on leg exercises and massage. Aloe vera gel and Cetroban ointment has helped.Keep wiggling your ankle even when sitting!
Thank you David I go out of the office at lunch time for a walk for 15 mins and try to wiggle my ankles and legs
I'm 49 sit all day at a desk so this is quite helpful
same amount of time for ongoing cellulitis and no real change other than a few days of relief then back to all the vomitting, fever, pain. Does anybody know why it is such a difficult infection to clear up. So much physical and emotional stress
