I have narrowed down my search to 3 consultants who may be the most suitable to do a ceramic hip for me who is not abroad or too far away from Dorset.
Has anyone got personal experience of either Mr Garrett in Dorchester, Mr Adrain Taylor or a Mr Gundell in Oxford.

i had my op done with Mr Gundle at the Manor in Oxford (Private) 13 weeks ago and I feel great. I did my research first and he is known as one of the best surgeons in the field. Even the nurses in hospital looked at my scar and said. Oh that's a Mr Gundle scar. He is a very pleasant chap and knows his stuff. Happy to talk to you more if you need any more information.

Many thanks for replying. I am grateful to hear frfrom you. I have been messed around on the NHS unbelievably and decided I just need to take out a loan and see the best. I heard Mr Gundell was good and also Adrian Taylor. I just dont know which way to turn as( like most people) I never thought I would be in this position of needing a hip replacement. Were the staff at the Manor hospital good? How long did you stay in for? Linda

Mr Gundle does do NHS so you could have a consultation done privately and then see what his NHS waiting list is like. I was in for 4 nights and the staff were lovely and very particular about your care.
