I went for my cervical smear test today, the last time I went (3 years ago) the nurse couldn't get the speculum in, she even tried the small one which eventually worked. Today the nurse tried and was having bother getting the speculum in so she said to me, "Are you sexually active" and "Have you been sexually active before" she went and got another nurse to assist who got it done no problem but she said there was a slight bleeding "erosion" and asked me was my period due (not due for another 2 weeks). She worried me and I asked the other nurse afterwards and she said the same happened to her the last time she had it done. Is this normal? There was watery discharge on my underwear afterwards but no bleeding was that normal? I have anxiety and OCD which is making me worse with worry. Thanks for kind advice in advance.
It’s normal I went though the exact same thing and it set my anxiety off so try not to panic
TOTALLY normal don’t give it another thought
