Hi I have been on citolapram for 18 years, started at 20 mg but moved to 40 mg 3 years ago as felt anxious again, I have been fine on them until I had a medical scare 2 weeks ago and have been over the top anxious ever since so think maybe Citalopram are no longer working for me as I can’t brush anxiety symptoms off, has anyone changed from Citalopram to sertraline successfully? And what is changing process ?
For a few years I had taken fluoxetine and it worked fine. I then stupidly decided to stop without weaning off it. Got put back on them but it didn’t work. Tried upping the dose and that still didn’t work. So I got advised to change to Sertraline. I’m on 100mg and 150 during period. It has really helped me. When changing meds my gp got me to take them both then slowly come off Fluoxetine. With these meds it takes a while to work x
