i'm getting a physical at a new doctor. i was wondering because i have heard that some places they have the patients undress in a changing room before going to the exam room. is this true? im not sure what to expect because i dont want to walk down the hallway naked or nearly naked.
take a dressing gown with you then there will be no chance of embarrassment.
I am not sure they can do this - I thought they would come to you???

If you don’t see a gown in the room ask for one.
you probably won’t have to leave the room, but if you do rest assured, , the gowns completely cover you up. They sort of wrap around you and then you tie them. It’s really no big deal. Try to relax
