I currently take my med in the afternoon around 330 and have for the past 5 weeks since starting it, if I start to take in the morning instead will that cause any side effects or uncomfortableness for a little or should it be ok? First time on these meds trying to Remember it at work is tough and now finally starting to feel a little better it's gonna be hard to remember to take anxiety has taken over my life so it was easy to remember when anxiety is all you think about but now I'm afraid since my constant reminder is diminishing that I'll forget
you will be fine and you wont notice a difference, as the meds last for 36 hours in your body so a few hours change is ok. Do stick in as you will get there, but it can take a few weeks, but dont let anxiety take over your life you can beat it stay strong. set a reminder on your phone x
It may have been coincidence but I switched from night to lunchtime to see if it would help my insomnia and I had a surge in anxiety for a few days which ended up in me increasing from 10mg to 20mg.
Usual horrendous side effects followed of course. How are you coping at work whilst starting citalopram. I'm still off sick but will probably be back soon
Hi
Well I dont know what time others take theirs but I take 20mg Citalopram in the morning when I have breakfast
I should have added that I went back to taking them at 9pm. Insomnia still a problem but just grateful to feel better even if I am tired ! X
At first it was scary mainly because I was still very very foggy brained and anxious all the time with panic attacks 3 or 4 times a day, but I was so glad I went back after my first day even tho I didn't feel good physically I mentally proved to myself that I could do it and now work isn't bad I still have the foggy brain and feel kinda crappy but I'm only 5 weeks in and some day are really bad but never at work, usually I feel my best at work then when the work days comes to a close I start with some symptoms, the last day and half have been ok all but a few hrs usually around 5pm till 7ish I feel crappy which is another reason I wanna switch my dose times so I can sleep through the crappy feelings and have all good days lol thanks for The info, a lot of people take it in the morning from what I gather with about a third taking it at night, I guess I'll have to play with it a little to see what suits me best
Perhaps I'm just a wimp lol ! I have just found the nausea and anxiety and then the insomnia crippling. Thank goodness things are finally improving except the insomnia!
Everyone is different a friend of mines wife takes the same thing I do at the same dose and she had 0 side effects and it took me totally out of commission for a while cause the side effects, also I know younger kid that takes buspar at a higher dose than me with no side effects and it made me super dizzy so I had to cut my dose in half I take 10 mg total in supposed to take 20mg of that but I'm gonna go back up to that Wednesday after building towards it, tlhe takes 30mg daily so I kinda felt like a wimp until I found this website and realized how differently we are even though our illnesses are so similar,
Yes very true, I was prescribed Buspar but couldn't face the side effects so have never take it
When it doesn't make me dizzy I feel so much better than I do when I'm only taking my citalopram it's just now after it made me dizzy a few times going back to full dose is kind of scary but from what I've read And the people I've talked to that take it they said it usually takes a week or two before you'll stop feeling that dizziness so if it made me feel that much better I'm hoping that going to full dose takes me the rest of the way to 100% normal
I'm to the point of trying anything to not have to think about or deal with this everyday lol
Any other side effects with buspar? Also, have they not suggested incrrasing your dose of citalopram? How long will you stay on buspar for Cody?
No other side effects and to be honest the list of side effects known to buspar aren't that bad nowhere near what cit is, I'll stay on them as long as it takes I guess lol, I have my first drs appt to check my medications in November 4th and I'm not sure if I'll increase or not honestly sometimes I want to and feel like I need to and others I feel it's not needed so I'm not sure lol buspar is actually a pretty safe alternative to other anti anxiety drugs as its specifically for anxiety
