Chest discomfort

Another question i was just cooking dinner feeling fine but then i had chest discomfort like kinda heavy pressure. Not really tight or sharp just little pressure. Does this happen to anyone? So of course when that happened i was anxious to finish so I started getting lightheaded and nervous...my heart never pounded fast or hard surprising.

Hi Lopez

I get that's often with a wide variety of chest pains stabbing pains, sudden electric shock, crushing pains and pressure and just generally bad pain in chest just depends on what's happening or can happen for no reason at all in middle of a movie or wake me up in middle of the night

If it happens several times see your GP. If stressed while performing housework you may suffer from this.

However if need be see your GP or call the NHS Information Line Tel 111. UK

Yes I've spoken to my doctor about this. I've been to the er so many times it's sad. Always had ekg, xrays and blood work done and all comes back normal. I know it's just anxiety but sometimes it's tough to cope with. Thank you for the help.

Not to sound happy that it happens to you too but it's reassuring that I'm not the only one experiencing it. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Possible course of CBT may work for you, ask to see if your GP will arrange it.

All I can really suggest regards Anxiety, when it is bad try and treat it by visiting the Chemist, they will possibly be able to help, many medications can be cheaper than a script and on occasions you ma find you can treat yourself instead of bending yor GP s ear.

The reason I suggest this has not really go anything to do with your frequent visits to the surgery it is however for you to gain confidence and to understand most illnesses can be treated by yourself. Most people do this. For example you have a cold you would treat before you visit your Doctor, the same with many other health problems.

The reason I suggest this is you have had a tranche of tests that have proven negative of any problems. Confidence is needed, you will be able to gain from experience and will eventually be encouraged to try and look after yourself.

I do not suggest not seeing your GP, just be selective

Here if needed
