chest pain after 2 weeks of pulmonary diagnosis

hi! i m 28 years old, for about 4 weeks before i had a placenta abruption during the 30th pregnancy week and lost the baby and i lost a lot of blood. after about 2 weeks i had chest pains i went back to the hospital and was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism they kept me there for 3 days treated me with blood thinners. Now i m on Xarelto (blood thinner)15 mg mornings and evenings the thing is now from the past 2 days i m having those upper left chest pains ( tightness/ discomfort) again is there any thing to worry should i visit the Hospital again. or is it normal to have these chest pain during the treatment.

Absolutely. Get to the emergency department immediately.

When I was discharged from hospital for PE, I too was taking 15mg xarelto twice a day. It was one of the worst weeks of my life. I had pains in both my lungs, Very, Very low energy. I also had/have what I would describe as feelings behind both my knees, calves, thighs and left arm (they MAY be recurring sensations).

5 weeks later, my energy is improving. I started walking around last week. Today, I have walk for about 60mins (45mins consecutive). I feel I have moved my blood around again, early night and rest for me tonight.

I'm 40yrs old.

Hi Sasha, so sorry to hear about your experience. If you are on an anticoagulant it's unlike to be recurring PE's but it's not unknown!  My medication was calculated incorrectly and I suffered a recurrence of PE's. Please get it checked out by a doctor tonight. Good luck.

Thank you for that, Boval. PEs aren't something to be messed about with. As we all (should) know, they can be a matter of life/death.

Any medics will understand and respect caution where they are concerned.
