Chest Pain during sleep?

Has anyone else had this...

Last night I woke up at 5am and had bad chest pains right above the sternum, in between the breast area. It felt like a muscle cramp, like maybe I was sleeping in a weird position and it got tight from that, bc if I laid on my side it would hurt a lot but if I lay on my back or stomach I didn't feel it anymore. Also, if I move my arms or stretch a certain way it would hurt again. I've had this happen before once or twice, a while ago. The pain always goes away after an hour or 2 of waking up.

Since I'm an anxiety sufferer, I was curious if anyone else gets this? I'm wondering if I am just sleeping in a weird position or if maybe I'm just tensing up when I sleep and I don't even realize it?

Any thoughts anybody?

You could be having what they call a nocturnal panic attack...basically a panic attack while you sleep that wakes you up. I know just when you thought anxiety couldn't get anymore fun, now you can have attacks while you sleep!!! This is what my doctor told me was going on with me anyway. I suggest talking to your doctor/s and try looking up nocturnal panic attacks. Good Luck!!!

With nocturnal panic attacks do you wake up in panic?? Bc I wake up completely calm but just have the uncomfortable chest pain feeling. N then that in return makes me start feeling anxious lol
