Does anyone else get non-cardiac chest pain?  I have been told it is not my heart, but the pain goes on for hours.  Can't believe what severe anxiety does to you.........

Hi there. When I get stressed I get chest pain in my left side. I do have ectopic beats but that should not cause any chest pain so I do believe it is all linked with anxiety. My ectopics get worse when I am stressed out and then I have a panic attack etc. Its very strange the body. Talk to me if you need any advice etc im here to help smile

Hi.  Thank you for your kind reply.  I am so fed up with the way I feel.  It is nice to know there is someone to talk to!  I have struggled round the supermarket this morning and wonder when I will feel well again......

Hi, it is likely caused by muscle tension which is common with anxiety. I was convinced it was a cardio issue as sometimes it would feel really severe. A really good doctor took the time to explain the muscle structure across the chest and how i was subconsciously tense all the time which was causing the pain. If in doubt check with your GP to set your mind at rest but take comfort that your symptoms will be the same as th

I have heart palpatations which feels like my heart is beating so loud.  Is that the same sort of thing that's happening to you?

Had a similar feeling in my chest more  of a tightness like you non cardiac but did find out that my BP was excessively high probably due to anxiety. Understand now how being content in life has a massive bearing on how you feel.

Hey. I know what you all mean about the loudness. Its so strange. I also get the muscle issues too. Ii think if you are experiencing any form of chest pain yu should go get it checked out just in case. normally it is nothing but i wouldnt have found out i have ectopics if i didnt go see my gp xxx
