Chest pains had checks at hospital

My husband had a by pass about three years ago. After a heart attack and angioplasty it was decided that he should have a by pass, which he did after about a year. Now three years on he started to experience chest pains. The hospital did all the test and say that he has no blockages, he also had an echo and that seemed okay just indicated that one wall of the heart was slightly damaged because of his attack but it was working. The thing is that he is experiencing pain still, and whilst in the hospital twice he had severe pain with excessive sweating and nausea, it settled the tests came back that it was not a heart attack as he had suspected. The pains are still there, and he doesn't know what they are. Obviously he is anxious because lets face it we don't all have the greatest faith it the NHS, when we read that things are missed all the time. Any ideas what is causing these pains, so that we may be able to nudge the GP in the general direction, because he hasn't a clue.

It's Angina isn't it ??? What medicines and doses does your husband take ???

He takes quite a few medicines because he has high blood pressure and diabetes so he takes the Metaformin, in addtion Losartan Atrovastin, Gliclazide, Ezetimibe, Bisoprolol they added Clopidogrel and Nicolrandil recently. I think they are slanting towards angina, but still he is feeling pains, and they have told him to go to his GP for further investigation, because they do not think the pains are heart related, if that makes sense. At any rate he is going for a cardio stress test next week so we will see the results of that. It's because they have referred him to the GP to investigate into other avenues that I am confused, because it seems they do not equate his pains to angina, but something else. My GP just takes normal blood tests and does not know what it can be, so I just want him to start investigating from some starter point.

Your husband should know what Heart problems feel like, their resistance to the possibility seems daft
