Chest pressure

Is chest pressure and sternum pressure a symptom of gallbladder problems?

Thank you

It might be but pressure in that areas could be due to other many reasons. It's impotant to get it checked.

According to many sources online (including mayo clinic) heartburn and chest pressure is indeed a symptom of GB problems. You would have a sensation similar to that of a heart-attack. Not to mention breathlessness at odd hours of the day. I would suggest however that you please see a GP or GI specialist as well as a Cardiac specialist just in case. If you are at a GOVT hospital please ask the doctor that you're consulting to check for possible cardiac symptoms as well as GB symptoms and let him advise you.

Thank you for your reply. I get breathless quite a bit and have had an ekg as I have complained to my Dr about the chest pressure and pain but she says its anxiety or Gerd(wich has suddenly happend) I do have a whole array of other symptoms wich I am seeing the dr today for and hopefully will request a gallbladder scan. Just fed up of being in daily achey pain to be honest.

I am now awaiting a scan date! Fingers crossed!

Fantastic. Good luck. And no - it doesn't necessarily have to be GERD. Even GB can cause some kind of reflux. My scan date is in the next month and a half. So I am in the same boat as you.

I have not experienced this myself but someone who had gallstones had these symptoms before she had her gallbladder removed.

I have a gallstone and am waiting to have my gallbladder removed.
