Hi: It could be a medication side effect or it could be a signal of reflux damage. When I took Nexium, I had the feeling of a needle stuck in my somach. You should raise the head of your bed 8". Or get an 8" wedge. These 'minor' health issues can lead to major problems if left untreated.
Unfortuneatly, for me I'm now heading for the Diabetes forum.
I don't take medication except for levothyroxine and b12 shots I stopped everything else

Thanks, I did find some side effects of levothyroxine. Some are similar to what you described. But, it does not mean you should stop taking it.
Less common:
Chest pain or discomfort
decreased urine output
difficult or labored breathing
difficulty with swallowing
dilated neck veins
extreme fatigue
fainting
fast, slow, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
fever
heat intolerance
hives or welts
increased blood pressure
increased pulse
irregular breathing
irritability
menstrual changes
nausea
pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
shortness of breath
skin itching, rash, or redness
sweating
swelling of the eyes, face, lips, throat, or tongue
tightness in the chest
tremors
troubled breathing
