On may 19th I had an std test taken and on the 23rd my results came back positive for chlamydia. I was given a 7 day twice daily doxycycline. I also haven't had an sexual activity since the beginning of may or used any adult toys. A week after finishing the meds, my discharge turned from green to a dark brown. It was like this until I went to get retested on June 19th to see if I still tested positive. Which I did and was given another round of doxycycline same ways as before. the brown discharge went away but creamish colored/ green discharge is happening again. It's been one week since I have finished the second round. Does it take a while for the symptoms to disappear and that is why I am still dealing with this ? I took the medicine as directed both times and was told i may have tested positive a second time because of being tested too soon but i was still having symptoms. What could be the reason that i am not able to get rid of this ?! or do the symptoms take time to go away? The symptoms have gotten better ex. no more itching and less discharge but it is still there.
