hello. i just tested positive for chlamydia two days ago. i was tested in last may and was negative but i suspect i got it two months ago. would having it that long lead to me getting PID? i am very scared this could potentially lead to infertility in the future and id like to know what my chances are. i have tried searching for answers, but havent found anything concrete. any doctors input would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not a doctor but nobody knows after how long chlamydia can lead to infertility. It can cause important damages within months or years. However, only a small percentage of infected person experience infertility.
If you got treatment within 2 months, I would say you acted really quicky and wouldn’t stress about it. Most of people get tested annually only and may be asymptomatic for a very long time.
what were your symptoms of chlamydia ?
it was really itchy within the first week i had sex, then a bit of abdominal pain and had orange discharge sometimes. the whole time i had it i also had pinkeye. so i think it was in my eye too.
