I had a brain scan earlier this year owing to a suspected stroke.The consultant sent me for a further, more intense,scan and it came back showing I had a Cholesterol Granuloma in the Petrous region of the brain.
Apparently this is a benign cyst which can grow slowly. Does anyone on here also have one?

No. It doesn't appear to be linked to anything cancerous. It is quite rare and when I applied for travel insurance they classed it as a brain tumour. It's a little worrying as my brother died of a brain tumour when he was younger than me.
It is going to be watched and I will have a brain scan yearly. I dont appear to have any symptoms.
