Chromogranin A (CgA) test?

I wonder why doctor need me to do this blood test.. My current sick is abominal - Epigastric area keep cramps / sharp pain, bloating, sometimes constipation sometimes diarrhea, gastric pain... I took PPI but still will like that... could anyone here can share experience or know or hv been done this test before, what doctor tell bout it.

A CgA test can be used to test a few health problems but in your case i would say the doctor is testing for Atrophic gastritis....hope the test turns out good..best wishes..
