Chronic constipation, muscle/back pain

Dear people, I will shortly describe my father's condition in hope some of you might share some valuable information. In brief, approx. 1 month ago he started to experience abdominal pain, he was constipated and had pains all over the body/muscles/back. It was harsh, but relatively tolerable. Approx 20 days ago, while he was in pain, he got vax. with J&J. The pain became even more pronounced, at times he would mention he feels like his legs are drying. The condition worsened, and for a couple of days in a row, he would have to go to the emergency for painkillers. Finally, 10 days ago, they kept him in a hospital. Pain remained the same, ocassionally spread upwards towards the heart and back area. Doctors did several check-ups (gastroscopy , CT of some aortas/heart.., thyroid, prostate tumor markers, tomorrow they're gonna do MRI of back). All of the results, including the multiple blood test, were perfect, as if he were the healthiest man alive. He just had a slightly increased glucose and cholesterol, which was known from before. Gastroscopy didn't even show any signs of gastritis apparently, but he feels a lot of pain if he eats anything, and he's constantly constipated. He tested negative for home Covid test and doctors ignore the possibility of vaccine side effects. For some reason, colonoscopy wasn't done. He constantly receives injections for pain, and the condition remains the same. He lost some weight, and feels physically and mentally exhausted. The pain is very severe. Has anybody been through something similar? What could it be? Big thanks to everybody
