Chronic leg pain woth fibromaygia

Hello everyone..

Not sure where to start really..

It all first started feb 2014 where I was experiencing some terrible pain in my shoulder..

I saw many consultants one saying I could have a trapped nerve in my neck then that consultant referred me to another consultant and picked out I had a lipoma that has recently been removed currently healing.

Also 6 weeks prior to that I have a appendicitis and a cyst removed from my ovarie

Ben through it a bit.

I also have a degenerative disc disease which will sometime in the future result in a disc replacement.

I saw my rumatoligist last week and has clinically diagnosed me with fibromaygia as I have been having terrible hip and leg pain in both legs

She upped my anitripyline to 30mg and is in the process of seeing what blood test I have already had done so she can 100% rule put anything else, but I'm pretty sure I had the full blood test and came back negative.

So yesterday I went to the gym where I do gentle exercise and my good was only in there a couple of minutes and my leg just completely killed me

Since I have been expediting some real horrendous pain to the point it made me cry

Took 3 lots of co-codomal plus anti inflamatories (excuse the spelling) it's not touch it.

I rung out of hours and they arranged a emergency appt for me basically she really didn't no what to do apart from give me diazepan - it's not done a thing.

My hip right through my leg is agonising especially if I stand

I managed to get a couple of hours sleep last night but it kept waking me up.

Also getting twitches like bubbly sensations all in my leg and also in the other leg

Really quite down thinking is this it for the rest of my life - pain !!!

I have just turned 30

Please advise be good to hear other people's symptoms stories.

Hi, I have been through a similar experience. I was training at the gym, pushing 79 kgs on the leg press then overnight I had terrific hip pain, leg weakness and bladder problems. unable to exercise at all. My hips were so painful in bed; Turning over iwas absolute agony; I would scream out and pull myself over gradually. No analgesia would work. Then one day I got out of bed and I could move, bend and was pain free! I couldn't believe it. However fibro being fibro my legs took time to recover from the weakness but I still have days when they ache or I have difficulty walking. Everybody is different and givro do unpredictable. I never know from morning to evening how I will feel.

Caroline

Hi. Just read your post and we are spookily similar.im 35 ive had 2 back decompressions years ago a knee op and diagnosed with early menopause at 17.

About 4 years ago started getting excruciating head neck and shoulder pain.they are STILL looking into it.

Ive many other symtoms which make me think fibro but trying to get diagnised!!!!

I have degenerative disc disese and on same tabs as you.

But god do i understand the leg pain!!!

Am currently 5 weeks post op for knee and its nothing to do with that.

I get it in both legs drives me mad cant sleep and had it for years.we call it "ookey pooky"legs.

I try to walk around or use ice.

All i can say to you is keep strong and keep going.

If i can help in any way.

Beth.x

Hi Beth x

Yes very spooky.

I had to go private in the end as my doctor was reluctant to refer me.

Still recovering from the removal of the lipoma (fatty lump) which I prayed was what was causing my pain, sad to say it hasn't.

I am really suffering today to the point I really don't no what to do.

I have tried the hot bath massage hear rubs

Taken a hell of a lot of pain relief co-codomal anitripyline naproxen and now just been given a suppository from my friend - naughty I no but I truly am desperate

My children have seen and heard me crying today and a friend has even brought me flowers

I truly am in agony- what would you do ? Xx

Hi Caroline

Pretty desperate today been like this since yesterday morning

Nothing is touching the pain

I have never felt so desperate x
