Hi all, I'm at the end of my tether at this point. I've had this ongoing nausea for over a year and a half now, since around March 2020. It's around my neck and in the back of my throat, and it gets worse when I move extraneously or quickly e.g. if I get up in bed or go up the stairs or do any type of mild exercise. It's taking over my life; I can't enjoy anything or exercise like I used to, as I feel too sick and I just want to lie down all the time and waste my life away. I'm 23 and I already feel like my life is over. I went to the doctor's about it last year and was tested for bowel diseases as my dad has a bowel-related condition (Ulcerative Colitis) but the tests came back negative. I was also given an ultrasound for gallstones which they discovered I have, and I've been booked for gallbladder surgery, but I've been told I'm going to have to wait around **two or three years** to have it! I also don't feel convinced the stones are responsible for my nausea, as I don't have any other gallbladder symptoms such as the pain in my abdomen. I've tried medication such as omeprazole, lanzoprazole and anti-nausea medication along with home remedies like chamomile tea, peppermint, ginger, CBD, but nothing seems to help at all. A few other things to consider: - I lost a substantial amount of weight the year preceding the sickness started and a few months after, through a lot of exercise and cutting back on foods (I lost about 85lbs/6 stone/40kg, so I wonder if this has anything to do with it) - I have a lot of (undiagnosed) anxiety, which often makes my sickness worse; my whole close family suffers with anxiety, depression or both (diagnosed) - I got very ill the month before - it's possible I was sick with COVID-19 during this time, as I was travelling a lot through London and I was bedbound from the illness, and that this sickness could be "long COVID" as it's been named I'm going to book a doctor's appointment this week as I just want them to take me seriously and help me get this sorted. If anyone has had anything similar and has any helpful tips or somewhere to start to find out what the cause of all this is, I would appreciate it loads!
