Hi, All.

I am interested in any feedback from those who have experienced rapid weight gain after stopping to take citalapram? I have always eaten healthfully and I do yoga daily. I quit cold turkey (I know, no need to remind me that I should have tapered off.

I am more irritable, angry, weepy and I have gained weight. While I was on citalapram I was thin and when I gained weight all i needed to do was step up my exercise and the extra weight melted away.

I have combed through old posts and saw that one or two people a few years ago discussed these seemingly unlikely physiological response of gaining weight once the citalpram is out of your body.

At this point I wonder if I should of stopped. My body is super sensitive to hormones. I know this as i was on progesterone pre and post hysterectomy and I experienced every side effect listed (and a few more;-)

Thank you in advance for sharing any similar experiences post citalapram!

Sarah

How long was you on Citalopram before you stopped. I’ve been on it for 14 weeks and I’m thinking of stopping. Thankyou
