Citalopram 12 weeks 20 mg

Hello,

I am now on 12 weeks of 20 mg but still feel my head foggy. Also, I feel tired throughout the day. I get frustrated because I want to feel normal again. 😕

Speak to your doc about this, you might need to increase your dose to 30, or perhaps 40 mg.  my head is still foggy, but I only started citalopram less than 4 weeks ago, I started on 20, then a week later went up to 30, then only last Sunday I upped to 40 mg.  good luck

Hi ... I'm just going into wk 12 on 20mg ...was at doctors Fri who asked if I wanted to increase dose .... atm I've refused as I feel much better than I did and mood been quite stable for a few days ... brain fog seems to have gone within the last week but still having problems with motivation and increased tiredness but have problems sleeping ... in particular falling asleep and getting up in the morning .... can anyone advise on whether to up dose or not ... and yes jorge it is frustrating but we'll get there x

Thank you for your response. I will definitely ask my doctor.

Thank you for your response. It's very frustrating. I have some good days and fall back in a rut.

I would talk to my Dr and swith medication.

12 weeks is too long (for me) to feel sick.

Actually, I don't think I would have even given IT 12 weeks!

Thank you for the response. I was told SSRI take a long time to work. You have some good days and some bad before you level out.

I didn't think I'd last 12 week ... but I'll be there in a couple of days ... I have got a definite improvement in mood and the anxiety caused by the depression and hightened by the citalopram almost gone .... going to give it till the weekend and re-evaluate if I want to go up to 30 .... well 25 then 30 .... uni back in 4 weeks so hopefully by then things will be back to normal ... I just noticed one day last week that I didn't have the foggy head feeling hopefully you will soon ... I'm also getting counciling see your gp about it ..good luck x

Well I took it for 8 years and I had enough.

I feel better now on a non-SSRI

So pleased you are on the way up.....I'm just waiting for the foggy head to go
