quick question? How long will I have to wait to lose this fuzzy foggy numb brain. It's 24/7 and I can't think. All I think about is why I am feeling this way. It's like I am not here in this world. My doctor wants to see me on Monday as she thinks it my be a neurological issue. Should I be worried? Lupus? MS? Anyone else suffer from this.
if you didn't experience the head which you are describing prior to takingCith en i would think it is probabelt the resuly of side effects of taking the drug!!!
If not happy with what your GP says then ask for a second opinion!! My experience is that some doctors do not understand the effects of this drug especially if they ae relatively young and as a result inexperienced. They to a certain extent read what it says on the packet as we do, with a little more understanding
I didn't experience it until going cold turkey off the meds which I was on 7 years before that. I thought going back on them would help but maybe it just takes a little more time.
Hi
Fuzzy head or "Coton wool " Head is perfectly normal for this drug. I have to say the cotton wool feeling as if you are looking or thinking out of the body is quite normal for most people. It will reduce its intensity and you will get used to it. I suggest you look through other discussions in this subject for reassurance. You will fint there are several common syptoms with Citalopram use. I hate to say this bit too but you will also find that your Libido will drop and it will affect your sex life too probably. These are all normal reactions and in time you will get used to them.
Best of luck and keep going for a bit longer ....
hi
i think i miss-read your comment. Are you coming off the drug?
if so it has the same symptoms as when you first took it and it is always recommended that you gradually reduce the dosage over a number of weeks rather than just stop.
As i said it looks like the drugs causing the side effects!!
