Citalopram and mitazapine

HI doctor has add 15mg of mitazapine with my 10 of Citalopram has anyone had this combo thank you

I am on the same meds, but I take 22.5mg of mirtzapine and10mg of citalopram... been on this combo for just over a month. I have not encoutered problems so far. I didnt find Mirtz helpful so citalopram was added.

if you are taking citrolopram ,i see no reason why you are also taken mitazapine,as citrolopram will do the job on its own

HI there mitazapine helps sleep but not my anxiety, week 5, , also need the loo a lot as well , will keep going another 2 weeks

have you noticed a difference yet with citalopram?

The mitz helps with sleeping as some people who take citalopram can’t sleep. I can’t sleep with citalopram but I take zopiclone to help sleep.

Ziplocone is the best move if you can't sleep. Not mirtazapine ..

At least with ziplocone no weight gain or loo problems..two antidepressants is not always the answer ..the less the better...

Hi Susan. My Psychiatrist prescribed 30 mg Mirtazapine and 30 mgs of celexa (Citalopram). Psychiatrists will more often prescibe combos than GP’s. I am now six weeks in ans starting to feel much better overall. I sleep very well on Mirt. and that is welcomed. I am happy with the two working in synergy with each other. The doctor I saw said he has seen very good results with the combination.
