May be a silly thing to ask when I'm already chucking nicotine into my body but has anyone on Citalopram used 21mg nicotine patches whilst on them with no issues? I'm wanting to start patches tomorrow currently on 30mg of citalopram.

I didn't use patches but puffed frequently and frantically on my electronic cigarette! It was my only comfort (other than this forum for six long months!) I was taking in a lot of nicotine whilst on 40mg cit without any added issues.
If your in UK the asda ok-cig is wonderful! (Starter pack £6.00 + £6.00 for an additional 5 cartridges which last for a week. I personally like the menthol as believe it or not they remind me of my old brand of cig. Silk cut!) you can also get the e-cig and cartridges on line and delivered to your door! Patches always made me feel sick! The only way I managed to quit smoking was with the electronic cigarette which costs me £6.00pw. I have now quit cigarettes for over a year and would never restart. I was ok till i gave up smoking cold turkey and then went down bad. But i smoked rollys and bought some herbal mix and mixed it and reduced the nicotine that way until all herbal then the herbal was awful so have not had a cigarette for 10 weeks its been hard and then i needed antidepressants to get through when the depression and anxiety hit. Just google nicotine and citalopram side efeects. I google everything i want to know about.Good luck its tough but your tougher. Be kind to yourself. Initially for a few weeks i would go to local coffee shop after a 1/2 hour walk in morning as i really needed those morning cigs then found i couldnt sleep so would walk in afternoon also. cheers
