Has anyone else found after taking this drug for several weeks that it has worsened the pain and problems of sinusitis?
I've no idea! I re-started citalopram in March (I have taken them once before) and got sinusitis at the beginning of May. After three weeks, the sinusitis started to get better although I do stil have a blocked eustacian tube which means Ii can't hear much and my tinnitus is very loud at the moment. I'm going to wait sometime before I see my GP again. I'd be interested to know if there was a link between citalopram and sinusitis. Seems a bit of a random connection to me!
Thank you for your reply Molly........various sources includig pharmacist and CITA say 2% of patients can suffer with nasal problems.... I find generally that Citalopram is very drying on ALL mucous membranes and makes me thirsty makes my dry eye condition worse etc etc. It has not been that good at sorting the anxiety, this my 2nd time round also. What dose are you on? I'm trying to stick with 10mg.

Are you still suffering ? I have very bad sinus problems and i'm wondering if citalopram could be a contriubtor.
