Hi everyone,
my first time on a ssri, i am taking 7.5mg and im 6 weeks in . ive had spaceyness since the start along with dizziness and trouble focusing. I havent been able to drive, seems like i go off in a day dream a lot throughout the day. in the 6 weeks ive felt “normal” two evenings.
is this normal? should i just keep going?

i started taking 20mg of citalopram 3 weeks ago and am dizzy everyday, all day!! head feels foggy and pressure in head/ears. I’m seeing the dr tomorrow and will bring all this up and hoping there’s something I can take for the dizziness and I’ll let you know.

im 11 weeks in now and the spaceyness is gone. just have pressure in my head and it just feels weird still.
I have been taking citalopram for over 4 years now. Its hard when you start as it does make any symptoms worse and heighten and anxiety and depression. The odd feelings will subside. They are very strange and make you question what’s going on when your mind is already feeling out of sorts. If you ever have to increase your dose these feelings happen again. I would say usually by 3 months you should feel settled and side effect free. Keep speaking to your Dr and I did find discussing things with others on here very helpful. hope this helps
