Hi everybody ive been on citalopram for 17 days now for anxiety and depression and im curious about a possible side effect and if anybody else has experienced the same thing cause ive read about all the side effects ppl have and have had many but one feeling is scaring me. Ill feel completely fine normal energy then suddenly get this strange sensation in my head like im going to pass out like it only last a second or 2 as if my brain shuts down even makes my eyes close momentarully and then i feel very weak after, i know cit makes you feel tired and lathargic but this feels so different and strange like my brain just wants to stop and sleep or something its scary . This happens everyday randomly havent passed out yet so must not be dangerous i suppose hope not at least. Can anyone relate to this ?
Hi Barry good name, I have been on Citalopram for 3 months now and I find them really good, my anxiety is a lot better, side affects have gone, I still have sleeping problems, but the fainting has stopped thank god, stick with them you will feel the fainting ease off, good luck.
A good name indeed its your you find somebody with it, i definetly am gonna stick with the citalopram and am confident it will make me feel much better in due time tho none are pleasant i can deal with all the other dlside effects its just this one in paticular scares me it so strange. You had the same thing happening to you at first ?
You need to tell your doctor, I did have something similar but they where panic attacks, you might need a MRI Scan on your head.
Ive had one and it came back normal
Ssri have that side effect. Are you anxious and taking for anxiety? You probably need a benzo to get you through. I took Paxil and had weird feelings woke up with major panic attack and past out.. Worst feeling ever
Yes some depression as well but taking for anxiety mostly thats been my main problem
