Citalopram blood test

Hi

My GP wants to do a Citalopram blood test.

What will she exactly be able to conclude from this test? If dosage might be too low? The effectiveness of Citalopram in my particular case?

She told me that the test would show which dose would be right in my particular case, but I forgot to ask her follow up questions.

She will do the test in 2 weeks and I will update keep you updated

No, in Denmark.

I just found something, unfortunately in Danish. The test show how an individual react to the specific dose that he/she is on. Some need a higher dose than others, which has something to do with biodiversity.

I've herd about a test before but that was in USA I'm in uk don't know if they do it here I don't think they do or my doc sould have told me that a long time ago 😃

It does sound really smart in determining the preferable individual dosage.
