Citalopram causing hair breakage?

Hey, I've been taking citalopram 20mg for the past 6 weeks and have noticed the hair about 10-15cm above my forehead has thinned substantially. I was just wondering if this is a possible side effect of citalopram and if anyone else has had this experience. My barber also noticed and suggested that it was due to being too aggressive with styling my hair, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any advice on whether citalopram could cause this and also how to prevent this from happening?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

if possible dont style your hair (except very gently) for 4 weeks and then re-assess the area to see if there is any improvement
